My early paintings, drawings, and installations told stories about the cheeky, ironic things that inanimate objects would do when no one was there to watch—like an old vacuum cleaner lying face down in despair, a blow dryer preening in front of a bathroom mirror, or a hand mixer terrorizing a kitchen sink. My narratives are now more about the beauty — and mystery— in the mundane.

What really goes on when no one is watching? I explore rich, quiet moments that speak of light and shadow, shapes and patterns, unexplained color, and the silent conversations that take place between everyday things.
